New Art, One A Week Art Project- 21 of 52- Ghosts2

Here is the newest creation for my one a week art project- 21 of 52- Ghosts2.

Prints of the original can be purchased here.

I don't know why I have been so compelled to create these ghosts but I have a few more drawings I am working on right now. The universe is just directing me down that path right now. Most of the time I go to create art, I go in blind. I put the pencil to the paper and something clicks. I then start creating and after a few minutes I will figure out what I want to draw.

There are other times when I know exactly what I want to create and I do just that. But I love the spontaneity of creating an idea out of thin air.

Prints of the original can be purchased here.

The original drawing was created using ink on paper. Here are some pens that can get you started out. As you grow as an artist you can evolve to purchase more expensive supplies.

In other news, Art In the Park is just around the corner so make plans to head to Keene, NH to see some wicked good art! I will have tons of original art for sale and it should be a great time with over 80+ artists.

Also, if you haven't checked out Wicked New England Photography yet, please do so. This is a site for photographers that have photos of New England that they would like to share with the world.

Again, if you are going to use Amazon.com, please click on the ad to the right of this page. It doesn't cost you anything extra, and if gives me a kick back which provides me with a little bit of income for my time to run this blog.

Till next week,
Cheers!

18 of 52- Halloween Must Go On!

Here is the latest from my One a week Art Project- 18/52 Halloween Must Go On!
Lately I've been working with a lot of watercolors and I can't seem to stop! I love the blending of the colors and I love the transformation a drawing can take when the water is applied to the watercolor pencils I use.

If you would like to try and watercolor I recommend these watercolor pencils here: Watercolor Pencils 24/Pkg - Assorted - Scrapbooking

Prints are available here.

I've been working hard on a few other projects that I can't wait to share with you soon.
Keep checking back as the One a Week Project continues!
Cheers!

BOO!

Every year I walk in the Tufts Harbor http://www.harborwalkrun.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1006775
walk in Boston, MA with my family in my sisters honor. She has Mitochondrial disease and like many diseases, there is no cure.

Every year I raise money for the cause and this year I decided to send anyone who donated in support of me an original piece of artwork as an extra incentive.

Prints of the original are available here.

Every year, I also donate 1% of all income earned on the art I have sold throughout the year to the Tufts organization.

I also inverted the image in Photoshop. I thought it looked like an etching and I like it a lot. Oh how I wish I had the money for the supplies and the patience to etch.
Prints of Ghosts 1 (inverted) are available here.

For anyone who purchases a print, I will donate 10% of profits to Tufts.

Thank you for your support.
Cheers!
