5 of 52- Patty the Giraffe

Here is my 5th piece of art for my one a week project- 5 of 52 "Patty the Giraffe". I have been cranking out the art lately and I have been liking the watercolors. week 4 of 52- El Rhino in color!

Tourist Season

Starbucks coffee shop!

Finally the year has come full circle and I have placed my art in Starbucks!!!! Visit the Starbucks in outlet shopping mall in Tilton, NH and you will see some of my photographic prints from the Lakes region hanging up!

They have some great drinks (warm and cold) snacks, good music and great art!!! :)

Kathleen's Cottage

Whelp, my month is finally up and I headed to Burlington to pick up my art. That drive doesn't get any shorter! Six hours later I needed to grab some lunch.
I decided to stop off at a great Irish pub called Kathleen's Cottage. The food here is DE-lic-ious! And the pints of Guinness are even tastier!
By stop stopping in we got to chattin' and Maryanne and Chris over to hang a couple of my paintings on the wall!

Bottom line is, Kathleen's Cottage is the place to go for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! The are located in the quaint town of Bristol, NH.

I displayed my art in the annual "Art In the Park" in Keene, NH the first week of September. I took second place in the photography group and believe me, it's an honor to win second place amongst all the talented photographers there.

BP de Mexico III

"BP De Mexico" is a new series I started in reference to the oil spill in the gulf.

This is the third drawing from the series. I have used oil pastels on recycled card stock.
The size of the drawing is 5.5"x4.25". The original drawing is going for $45

Prints are available in 5.5"x4.25" $15, 14"x11"-$30, 20"x16"-$45 and 24"x18"-$60.
Prints are printed on order. If you would like a custom size please contact me and I will try to accommodate your request.

I use archival inks and typically print on Glossy paper.

Hello Summer?

Hello? Summer? Are you there?... Yes you are!! Well not really but it has been feeling like it! WOOOOO!!

It's good to be out in the sun and enjoying life! Updated:
I have been taking a lot more pictures lately and I have been taking some great shots too. Here are a few I have taken recently: You can find more of my Photography here.

In other news, I haven't had time for blogging because I have been busy. I am almost done with the commission paintings I have been working on. The trouble is-as it usually is- I have to wait for paint to dry!! And being as it has been quite warm, it takes longer than usual even with a fan on it.
I am design a new t-shirt for a contest for the band Assembly of Dust. Great music and if you are a risk taker and like to listen to new music take a listen! You won't be disappointed.
I also just finished framing about 4 photos and an oil pastel drawing(which takes time cutting Matte and messing it up and cutting it again (just kidding about the messing up part).
They look great and I am going to try and hang them in a few shops around town. Wish me luck.

Well that's it for now. I need to get back to work. Enjoy the long weekend! It's suppose to be a beautiful one!! Goodbye winter! :)

Custom Painting

I just put the finishing touches to a custom job I started toward the end of last year and I just dropped it off in RI this weekend. I think it came out great and Natalia was very happy!!! She wanted (as you can see) a Pink Elephant and a palm tree. At first I was having some difficulty working with these requirements as I don't have any personal connection to elephants or palm trees. Eventually I had a break through and this is what I produced.

I am extremely happy with the finished painting.

Well, it was a long weekend full of a lot of driving. I am heading to bed...wicked early... I know!

Story, Part-7

For those of you who have been following my blog, you are aware of the 9 part series I have created and finished as of late. I have been uploading a new peice of the story for about 2 weeks now and I will be uploading the completed story board before Christmas as a gift to all of you!

October is HERE!

Okay, okay, gather 'round now. I have something to tell you all about. October is a great month! I said it, BAM! It's out there, all of you now know.

I love the Autumn. It's sometimes warm during the day and brisk at night. I love walking around and seeing all the beautiful colors the world has to offer each year! October starts tomorrow and the colors are already brilliant!

My birthday is also this month so my opinion might be slightly slanted. Halloween, who doesn't like to dress up and get a little wacky!? A lot of wacky? Okay freakin' crazy!! :)

What do Bridgewater, MA, Art, ME and October have in common? Psssh, everything! I will have two paintings hanging in a gallery in Bridgewater, MA for the month of October! Still following, keeping up? Should I slow down? Are you still reading?

Not literally. These are some lyrics from the song "You Lay The Dust" by Assembly of Dust. One of my favorite bands and if you have the opportunity to hear these guys live, I highly recommend doing so.

Anyways, back to business. I am heading down to MA (again) tomorrow and dropping off two paintings (which can be found here) at the Bridgewater Art Gallery in Bridgewater, MA.

These paintings (along with 9 other artists) will be in the gallery for the month of October. Be sure to stop in if you are in the area.

BUSY!

Although I am not preparing for another event (art fair) like the one I just participated in a few weeks ago, I am straight out busy!

I have been all over the place conjuring up new ideas for drawings and paintings. I am working on updating my website and making that more user friendly. As a full-time everything, it's hard to put forth 100% effort towards everything I want to do. You can only spread yourself so thin and at some point something is going to give. Either my art (which I will not sacrfice quality for having a better website), my website or me. Well, hopefully I won't have to shutdown too often. That is why I don't post as often as I would like and that is why my website takes a hit in being as user friendly as it should. I am at the point where I am debating hiring a web designer on a part-time basis. But I don't have the funds just yet.



Aside from creating, updating, posting, working (day-job), freelance work, recreational fun time and being with the one I love... I hardly have time for myself. When I do have time I have been spending it reading, sleeping or thinking about what I should be doing!! :)



I have been sending out emails to galleries and I have been receiving a lot of positive feedback. I will keep you posted once I hear more.
