Hello Summer?

Hello? Summer? Are you there?... Yes you are!! Well not really but it has been feeling like it! WOOOOO!!

It's good to be out in the sun and enjoying life! Updated:
I have been taking a lot more pictures lately and I have been taking some great shots too. Here are a few I have taken recently: You can find more of my Photography here.

In other news, I haven't had time for blogging because I have been busy. I am almost done with the commission paintings I have been working on. The trouble is-as it usually is- I have to wait for paint to dry!! And being as it has been quite warm, it takes longer than usual even with a fan on it.
I am design a new t-shirt for a contest for the band Assembly of Dust. Great music and if you are a risk taker and like to listen to new music take a listen! You won't be disappointed.
I also just finished framing about 4 photos and an oil pastel drawing(which takes time cutting Matte and messing it up and cutting it again (just kidding about the messing up part).
They look great and I am going to try and hang them in a few shops around town. Wish me luck.

Well that's it for now. I need to get back to work. Enjoy the long weekend! It's suppose to be a beautiful one!! Goodbye winter! :)

Cheers!

The Weekend....

... was GREAT!! :)
The Bruins evened the series with the Sabers 1 all and it came down to the wire. The g/f and I went on a nice adventure into the beautiful town of Sandwich, NH. I wish I had my camera because the sights were amazing!! Lately we have been getting some crazy weather - I suppose we all have - it has been snowy, rainy and raw. Not too much fun to be outside in, however, it makes for great picture taking.
We were driving along on Saturday and we saw some snow scattered about amongst some fairly long blades of grass that were brilliant-almost neon- Green that just popped with the White snow around it and the dark Blue lake and Gray overcast sky in the background. There were tons of opportunities to stop and take pics....
... Thankfully, I am getting my camera back this weekend.

I also worked on my two commissions this weekend for about 4 1/2 hours! I just started working on the second painting while waiting for the first to dry and it is coming along nicely! I do love using oil paints as I can take an hour off and go back into the painting and it's still wet. As the commissions are a surprise I won't reveal too much information. Once they are completed and shipped out, I will upload the finish product. :)

Until then enjoy , "The Grateful Bruins" icon I have attached above. The Bruins are playing to night and are tied 1-1 going into the 3rd period.... GO BRUINS!!

Cheers!

UPDATE

Okay, last night was a long one as I work some more on the commission's I need to complete and ship out at the end of next month.

Spent 2.5 hours straight last night working on part of the first painting. I am using oil paints and if you're not familiar with oil paint, they take FOREVER to dry...which -depending upon who you are- can be a good thing. To me it is a good thing! :)

I was a bit discouraged at first as I just wanted to go in there and finish the painting bada bing, bada boom... I forgot that it takes time to achieve a certain level of expectations and patience is a virtue... especially while working with oil paints.

As last night shows, taking the time and putting in the effort really pays off and I am truly happy with the way things are going.

While I wait for this painting to dry I am working on several other projects and creating more t-shirts!!!

If you need some new threads for the summer check out the shirts on the previous post or you can visit my Facebook page as I haven't uploaded them to the web site yet.

You can send me a message as well @ moonart.design@gmail.com
