Back Rooms of My Mind Door#16413 is the latest of my creations. It's been tough  over the past few months as my computer is still down. The computer people are trying one last thing in hopes they can fix it, however, it's looking more and more likely that I will have to break down and purchase a new computer... BOOO! I will keep you updated as I know more info.

I've been using these pens Pigma Micron Pen Set 0.45mm 6/Pkg - Earth/Heritage (Google Affiliate Ad) over the past few months and they are awesome for drawing with! I recommend using this for your ink drawings. The bonus is that they are waterproof.

In other news, I would like to take the opportunity announce that over the next 2 months, I will be donating half of the proceeds earned to the Greg Hill Foundation which will help anyone injured in the Boston Marathon Bombing on Monday. This was yet another senseless act of violence which seems to be happening way too often these days.

Another Drink Ma'am?

Here is another drawing I created for the Tufts Harbor http://www.harborwalkrun.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1006775walk in Boston, MA that I walk each year with my family in my sisters honor. She has Mitochondrial disease and like many diseases, there is no cure.

Every year I raise money for the cause and this year I decided to send anyone who donated in support of me an original piece of artwork as an extra incentive.

Every year, I also donate 1% of all income earned on the art I have sold throughout the year to the Tufts organization.

Update

It's been a while since my last post but I have been busy!
After Art In The Park in Keene, NH, I took a few weeks off to relax and enjoy some R n R with my g/f and friends. I am still trying to get back into the swing of things as it's fall and I have been taking a lot of photos lately.

I am getting things ready to do another round of printing. I will post more info soon but for now I am out. TIME FOR BED!

Here is the sixth drawing from the series. I have used oil pastels on recycled card stock.
The size of the drawing is 5.5"x4.25". The original drawing is going for $45

Prints are available in 5.5"x4.25" $15, 14"x11"-$30, 20"x16"-$45 and 24"x18"-$60.
Prints are printed on order. If you would like a custom size please contact me and I will try to accommodate your request.

I use archival inks and typically print on Glossy paper.

The Weekend....

... was GREAT!! :)

The Bruins evened the series with the Sabers 1 all and it came down to the wire. The g/f and I went on a nice adventure into the beautiful town of Sandwich, NH. I wish I had my camera because the sights were amazing!! Lately we have been getting some crazy weather - I suppose we all have - it has been snowy, rainy and raw. Not too much fun to be outside in, however, it makes for great picture taking.

We were driving along on Saturday and we saw some snow scattered about amongst some fairly long blades of grass that were brilliant-almost neon- Green that just popped with the White snow around it and the dark Blue lake and Gray overcast sky in the background. There were tons of opportunities to stop and take pics....

... Thankfully, I am getting my camera back this weekend.

I also worked on my two commissions this weekend for about 4 1/2 hours! I just started working on the second painting while waiting for the first to dry and it is coming along nicely! I do love using oil paints as I can take an hour off and go back into the painting and it's still wet. As the commissions are a surprise I won't reveal too much information. Once they are completed and shipped out, I will upload the finish product. :)

Until then enjoy , "The Grateful Bruins" icon I have attached above. The Bruins are playing to night and are tied 1-1 going into the 3rd period.... GO BRUINS!!

This Friday!

This Friday I will be taking down my paintings from the gallery in Keene, NH (Lotus and Orchid) and hanging 3 new pieces in there for another one. If you didn't have a chance to get to Keene, it would be really cool if you are able to make it down and check out the art down there. This is a nice little gallery in the middle of the Keene.

To the right I have posted a nicely little treat for you. This is a drawing I finished a few weeks ago "Wizard In Training".

IT'S A ROCK 'N ROLL BAND!!!!!

This post is loooong over due for one of my favorite bands TEA LEAF GREEN.





The San Francisco based group formed in '97, have been touring since 2002. When I first had the chance to see these guys play in Allston, MA my buddy and I took a chance on a band we knew nothing about. Fortunately for us, the band we saw was amazing and we were "dancing" for days.





From the moment Tea Leaf Green took the stage they rocked the small Allston, MA venue (Harper's Ferry). The mind bending, ever lasting guitar solos by Josh Clark, incorporated with Trevor's elegant vocals and sometimes soft and intrinisic sound from the keys makes the show.


To round of the quartet there is Scott holding it down on the drums and at the time (Ben Chambers) who absoulety rocked the house with his funky bass solo's has departed with the band and the new bass player Reed Mathis of Jacob Fred's Jazz Odyssey is a phoenominal subsitute as he remains composed on the stage.





About 3 weeks ago my brother and I went to see this band in question down in Boston at the Paradise Rock Club and Lounge. If you haven't had the chance to see a show at the club I highly recommend it. A small venue with two levels and a chest high stage. There is enough room to get down and boogie while the band is playing right on top of you.





If you have the chance to see TLG play, do yourself a favor and spend the $18 or $20 on a ticket and experience a life Tea Leaf Green show. For music lovers out there, you know that there is nothing like seeing live music.

Doing some sweeping tonight!

At around 9:30PM (Eastcost Time Zone) the Boston Bruins will be finishing off the "Habs" tonight up in Montreal, CA. I am not by any means saying this is going to be an easy one, because it most certainly will not. I am merely saying that the Bruins are going to finish up the series with thrilling 4-2 victory.

The playoffs have it all: The fast pace, the hard hitting and close games that bring hockey fans to the edge of their seats. That is, after (college hockey) is over. These are the games to watch.

Look for a very physical game as the Bruins polish off the habs and a lot of fighting. The habs will be going home early, however, they will not be going into the locker room quietly.

If you are not currently a hockey fan, this game will make you one. The first place Bruins will move onto the next round on a 4 game sweep. The quest for the cup continues.

Finally back at!

After about a solid 16 days off, I was finally able to stumble back in the studio. Which was a huge relief because I have been "trying" to get back in there. Once I managed to get setup I painted for about 4 hours! I worked on 7 pieces that have been on going for a while now.

Painting in oils can be quite cumbersome, however, I love to use them. I have been trying to make the switch over to acrylics but it's just not that easy. Someday I will give acrylic paint another go. I am not sure when that time will come for I am far to involved with my oil paints.

In other unrelated news, I am heading to Boston this weekend! This should be a good time. Boston is always a lot of fun, expensive but fun. I am going to try and keep the cost down this time around.
